GTS Opens
London Hosting Center

June 13, 2000 -- Global
TeleSystems, Inc. today announced the opening of a GTS
Hosting Center in London, expanding the company's growing portfolio
of hosting and colocation services.
Additional
facilities will open in Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Paris in July
2000, each offering approximately 50,000 square feet of colocation
space. GTS has also announced plans to open a second major hosting
center in London as well as a U.S. center in Northern Virginia.
``The launch of the GTS Hosting Center in London further solidifies
our position today as THE Internet and e*Business platform of
Europe,'' said H. Brian Thompson, GTS's chairman and chief executive
officer.
``Our strategy is to bring a huge percentage of Europe's business
users, the applications and services they require, and European
Internet content together onto one GTS-powered IP platform,"
Thompson added.
GTS also announced a European hosting and co-location agreement
with Network Solutions. Other companies currently co-located in
GTS facilities include Genuity, UPC, Microsoft, Akamai, Energis,
Cap Gemini, Virgin, Digital Island and Epic Realm.
