Plans 30 'iCampuses'

July 13, 2000 -- Chicago-based nexgen Building Solutions,
LLC announced plans today to develop thirty "iCampuses"
across the United States.
The properties
will range from 200,000 to 1 million square feet, providing infrastructure
solutions for carrier hotel, data center, colocation and ISP/
ASP enterrpises.
nexgen said it expects to open operations in Austin, Texas and
San Jose, Calif. within the next six months. The company,
which has 50 employees, describes itself as a "one-stop design/build
shop" for IT companies in need of mission critical facilities,
from dot com start-ups to telecom firms.
"Our
services help technology-dependent companies focus upon their
'core competency,''' said nexgen CEO Paul Schlattman. "Our
clients only need to tell us they where they want to be. We take
care of everything else, from finding property and designing facilities
to building them. And we do it fast.''
Initial funding for nexgen is being provided by communications
systems provider OptimalPATH and real estate developer Telecom
Development Group.
