July 25, 2000 --Infocrossing, Inc. today announced that it has signed a lease to to occupy Cyber Fortress I, an Internet Data Center (IDC) in Loudon County, Virginia.
The 54,000 square foot facility, built by DataCentersNow, will serve the high tech corridor of the greater Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington, DC, metropolitan area.
"`With the signing of this lease, we are gaining momentum in our national expansion program of IDCs that combine a secure facility with the highest quality services,'' said Infocrossing President and CEO Chuck Auster.
The selection of the Loudon site comes just a month after Infocrossing's announcement of a new facility to open in the Atlanta metro area this fall.
"Like Atlanta, Loudoun County's market demands the highest standard of Internet systems and network management expertise, areas where we have demonstrated our capabilities," said Auster. "We are moving quickly to secure additional sites as part of our national program to build and connect 20 world-class IDCs. This will establish a distinct position for Infocrossing as our expanded value-added products flow over our seamless managed services platform.''
"We set out to meet the `need it now' demand for data center-ready buildings in prime locations such as Northern Virginia's `Internet Alley,''' said Chris Epstein, president of DataCentersNow. "We're pleased to be able to serve this need for Infocrossing, Inc.''
Infocrossing said its IDCs feature a state-of-the-art command center in which highly trained personnel monitor systems and operations 24x7. IBM-Tivoli software enables Infocrossing to integrate IT services, change management, security, asset management, operations, problem management and storage management onto a single service platform.
DataCentersNow is a division of BECO Management, one of the largest privately held acquisition and management real estate companies in the Washington metropolitan area.
