First iBIZ
center nears completion
CarrierHotels News Staff
July 24, 2000 -- iBIZ Technology Corp. said today that
it had begun the final phase of construction on its initial colocation
center, which is on schedule to open next month in the company's
Phoenix headquarters.
iBIZ
said the center will
offer Internet-reliant clients an internally contained "self-healing"'
network designed for high-performance and continuous connectivity
to the Internet backbone. The secure facility will feature a multiple
redundant system to provide uninterrupted electrical power and
environmental control.
The
company cited Phoenix as an ideal location because of the combination
of high demand for colocation services and low potential for weather-related
and other natural disasters in the area.
"This
milestone in our co-location construction project allows us to
narrow the target date for customer occupation," said Ken
Schilling, president and chief executive officer of iBIZ
Technology.
