LINX Hooks Up With telx

A deal between Internet connection facilities in New York and London will make using the Internet faster and more reliable, the operators of those sites said Friday. Network providers that connect with other carriers at Telx, a major interconnection site in New York, now can hook up with networks in Europe as if they had their own connection at the London Internet Exchange Ltd. (LINX), the organizations said in a statement. Using the transatlantic connections of other carriers operating in London and New York, smaller service providers will be able to set up secure, "tunneled" connections between the two points, the statement said. Almost exactly a year after announcing plans to buy PAIX, Switch and Data has completed the acquisition of Remote Access Company (RACO), a privately-held company providing neutral colocation services for the service provider and enterprise markets. Through the RACO deal Switch and Data, the leading neutral interconnection, Internet exchange and colocation provider, expands its footprint to include RACO’s four sites located in New York City, Toronto, Chicago and Buffalo. Andover, Mass. - NaviSite, Inc. today reported financial results for its second quarter of fiscal year 2004, which ended January 31, 2004. For the second quarter of fiscal year 2004, total revenue increased 19% to $22.3 million from $18.8 million in the second quarter of fiscal year 2003. RCN to File Chapter 11

PRINCETON, N.J. - Struggling cable company RCN Corp. said it will file for bankruptcy as part of a strategy to attract new investors and stay in the business of bundling cable television, Internet and telephone service. "We anticipate filing Chapter 11 in order to consummate a deal," Barak Bar-Cohen, an RCN spokesman, said Tuesday. He couldn't say when the company might file. $22M Deal for Infocrossing

LEONIA, N.J. -- Infocrossing, Inc., a provider of strategic IT and business process outsourcing solutions, announced today the signing of a new, sixty-five month outsourcing agreement with a global media conglomerate headquartered in the United States.
