Verio Unveils Northern Virginia Building

Sept. 19, 2000 -- Verio Inc. today announced the opening of its new 80,000-sq. ft. Premier Data Center in Dulles, Va., expanding its presence in Northern Virginia's high-tech corridor.
Verio already has three data centers housed in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan market, and its Advanced Hosting Division is based in Alexandria, Va. The opening is part of an ongoing expansion, with additional centers scheduled to come online in Seattle, Dallas, Chicago, San Jose and Newark later this year.
"Verio is responding to customer demand for these types of facilities and services, but we are also constantly staying ahead of that demand curve in order to provide businesses the most effective solutions and retain a competitive advantage,'' said Verio CEO Justin Jaschke.
The company will add 60 employees to staff the new center, bringing its D.C.-area employment to approximately 270.
