"Our challenge is to keep pace with the growing need
for our carrier-neutral co-location centers, which enable telecommunications
carriers, Internet service providers, and other Web-centric customers
to efficiently and effectively enter new markets,'' said Jim Weller,
vice president, carrier relations, Switch & Data. "As our network
grows, with 20 centers open and an additional 15 under construction,
we can provide customers with the ability to get their businesses
up and running quickly in multiple geographic regions.''
The
company noted that its facilities are located in areas with the
highest concentration of high-density, fiber-optic corridors, enabling
a cost-effective way for companies to initiate operations in new
geographic regions.
Switch & Data's international network of carrier-neutral Convergent
Network Centers enable Internet and telecommunications companies
such as Internet service providers (ISPs), competitive local exchange
companies (CLECs), application service providers (ASPs), data storage
companies and telcos to quickly and economically enter new geographic
markets with the freedom of unencumbered access to the major carriers'
networks. |
