By Rich Miller
CarrierHotels News Staff

Oct. 3, 2000 -- Peak 10, Inc. a data center and infrastructure provider, today said it will open its second "Technology Gateway" facility in Charlotte, N.C.
The 26,000 square-foot space in Cambridge Beltway Park, located at I-485 and South Tryon in Charlotte, will also serve as the corporate headquarters for Peak 10, which earlier this year announced plans to build facilities in 10 southeast second-tier cities. The company's first data center opened August 30 in a 14,000 square-foot facility in Jacksonville, and is already serving clients in that market.

"The Jacksonville center was received with a great deal of excitement, with over 250 potential users and dignitaries attending the grand opening,'' said Nicholas L. Kottyan, one of the founding partners
Peak 10 was founded in March by Kottyan and David H. Jones, each 25-year veterans of the telecommunications industry. They raisd $6 million to launch the company, and say they expect to announce additional funding in the next 30 days.
