10 Enters Raleigh Market
Expands into fourth Southeast city by acquiring former Interpath
facility
Nov. 14, 2002 -- Regional data center services provider
Peak 10 Technology Gateways has entered the Raleigh, N.C. market
with the acquisition of a former Interpath Communications data
center, the company said today.
The
Research Triangle area will be the fourth market for Peak 10,
which is based in Charlotte and also has data centers in Tampa
and Jacksonville, Fla. Peak 10 said it expects to announce a fifth
market in the second quarter of 2003.

The Raleigh center is a 23,000 square foot facility, featuring
an 11,965 square foot data center. Peak 10 will use the site to
offer a range of services including managed hosting, storage,
security and disaster recovery solutions.
“We have carefully planned our launch in the RTP from acquiring
a signature facility to hiring a high caliber management team,“
said Peak 10’s President David Jones. “We’re looking forward to
delivering a higher level of service and performance to Raleigh
businesses.”
Peak
10 said it has hired a veteran local management team led by Vice
President and General Manager, Ben Griffith.
Founded
in March 2000 by telecom veterans Jones and Nicholas Kottyan,
Peak 10 has pursued a controlled
growth strategy in expanding its presence in the Southeast. The
company's clients include Wachovia, Allstate, Jefferson Pilot
Communications, Hawaiian Tropic, and Wellman.
