  • June 20, 2001 -- Sprint Corp. today said it will open a Sprint E-Solutions Center in the Telecom Corridor of Richardson, Texas this summer.
The 75,250 square foot Dallas-Fort Worth Internet Center will offer Sprint's customers application and Web-hosting support, collocation, monitor and report performance, and IT professional services. Sprint has previously opened new centers in Sacramento, Calif.; Reston, Va.; New York City; Kansas City, Mo.; and Boston, and has leased space for future centers in Atlanta and Los Angeles.
Pre-selling for the center has already begun, and it is anticipated that the center will be available for customer occupancy by July 1
"Bringing our advanced new generation Internet Center services to the Telecom Corridor area serving the Dallas-Fort Worth market represents a great opportunity for Sprint and our customers,'' said Keith Paglusch, president of Sprint E|Solutions. "Our customers will enjoy the advantage of Sprint's expertise in managed and Web services, security and customer service.
The Dallas-Fort Worth Sprint E|Solutions Internet Center sits directly on Sprint's high-speed, fiber-optic Tier 1 IP backbone. Sprint has previously stated its plans to expand its Internet Center capacity through year-end 2002.
Additional centers are currently planned for Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Jose, Calif., and global locations in Europe and Asia. Currently, Sprint manages more than 1.5 million square feet of hosting space.
