  • June 11, 2001 -- Managed hosting provider Relera today announced the opening of its Denver Internet data center (IDC), its ninth facility opening of the year.
The center expands Relera's business presence in Denver, which along with San Diego serves as one of two headquarters locations. Denver is also home to the company's Network Operation Center (NOC) and national customer care center.
Relera operates IDCs in Richmond, Va.; Memphis, Tenn.; San Antonio, Charlotte, N.C.; Sacramento, Calif.; Las Vegas; Raleigh, N.C.; Salt Lake City and Cleveland. It plans to open several more centers this month for a total of 11 facility openings in the first six months of 2001.
Supported by more than $300 million in venture capital funding, Relera plans to build and manage more than 25 Internet data centers in cities throughout the United States, offering Internet services and solutions including colocation, carrier-diverse connectivity, and managed services.
Relera has established partnerships with some industry heavyweights - including Cisco Systems, Inc., Juniper Networks, Level 3 Communications - to offer its customers a package of infrastructure and managed services.
