Telseon
Opens Technology Headquarters
Mountain
View Facility Will Include Data Center
Feb. 21, 2001 -- Telseon, a provider of optical metropolitan
networks, has announced the opening of its Mountain View (Calif.)
Technology Headquarters, which will house 50 technology specialists
and eventually a National Data Center.
The
33,000 square foot facility at 805 East Middlefield Road will
serve as the company's center of technology research, product
innovation and marketing. Telseon's Denver headquarters will continue
to house its management offices and customer support functions.
"Even
in today's fluctuating technology market, we can count on the
demand for data transport to continue to outstrip traditional
carriers availability," said Mick Seaman, CTO at Telseon.
"The dual headquarters enables us to leverage the rich talent
and diverse expertise of both regions and continue to hire the
brightest individuals to scale our network to meet the market's
demand.''
Founded in 1999, Telseon has remained focused on developing optical
network infrastructure to solve the bandwidth bottleneck in the
metropolitan area. With Telseon, bandwidth-intensive businesses
can upgrade to a scalable Gigabit Ethernet network.
"The
metropolitan area network has become the hottest communications
segment in the Internet economy,'' said Seaman. "As a result,
Telseon's IP technology team is highly sought after by leading
service and long-haul providers as well as equipment manufacturers
seeking to quickly leverage innovative IP technology.''
Telseon's
network serves more than 50 companies including 360networks, Epoch
Internet, Everest Broadband, Incyte Genomics, Level 3, Riverstone
and StorageLink.
