Inflow
Opens Sacramento Data Center
CarrierHotels News Staff
Dec. 4, 2000 -- InFlow Inc., a provider of data centers
and managed services, said it will open its 16th Data Network Exchange
(DNX) facility in Sacramento, Calif. in several weeks.
Denver-based
Inflow said it selected Sacramento because the city is an emerging
market for e-commerce companies.
"We
evaluate potential site locations based on various criteria, including
network bandwidth availability, immediate access to power and
a large potential customer base within the region,'' said Robert
Cassidy, general manager of Inflow's Sacramento facility. "We
also take into consideration a city's quality of life. Sacramento
met all of these criteria and we are extremely excited about the
anticipated e-commerce expansion in this area.''
Cassidy also said Inflow developed the facility, located at the
Capital Centre at 1515 K Street in Sacramento, to make it more
accessible and user-friendly to customers.
"If you've ever walked into a colocation facility with thousands
of square feet of cabinets housing computer equipment, you might
feel like you just stepped into another world, totally void of
personal contact,'' said Cassidy. "Our DNX facility is specifically
designed on a smaller, more human scale. We keep a fully stocked
kitchen and certified on-site technicians who are available to
do anything from solving a technical problem to providing a coat
if you're cold.''
Inflow said the new facility will also offer companies a multiple
Tier-1 ISP network, 100 percent Internet availability, application
and equipment monitoring, managed firewalls and 24 hour, seven
day a week, 365 days a year on-site technical support.
Inflow provides data centers
and managed services for mission critical e-businesses. The company
plans to open six additional sites within the next six months,
including its first international facility in Dublin, Ireland
