Dec. 20, 2000 -- COLO.COM has announced the opening of
its new carrier-neutral colocation facility in Orlando, a 32,000
square foot center at 3110 North Central, in the Park Central
Mall.
"Opening
one of our Neutral Optical Hubs in the Orlando market provides
us the opportunity to serve new customers in the area, as well
as service national accounts through expanded coverage,'' said
Bill Opet, president and chief operating officer, COLO.COM.
The
Orlando facility offers customers a choice of carriers offering
connectivity, including Bell South, Level 3 Communications and
Time Warner. IP services are available through providers such
as Telseon, and customers include COLLEGIS and ReFlex Communications,
Inc.
Based
in the San Francisco Bay Area, COLO.COM
expects to have more than 20 Neutral Optical Hubs in major metropolitan
areas across the United States. The company's customers are long
distance carriers, competitive local exchange carriers (CLECs),
Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and other Internet-based businesses
that need to deploy rapidly to the network's edge.
