Global Internetworking Launches Private Line E1/DS1 Conversion and Hubbing Solutions at INTELSAT GTM Telecommunications Industry Conference
New Product Suite Reduces Costs, Expands Reach for International Carriers
WASHINGTON, DC (May 23, 2005) - Global Internetworking, Inc. (GII), a facilities-neutral network solutions provider, today at the INTELSAT GTM2005 telecommunications industry conference here announced the roll-out of its new suite of private line data transport conversion and hubbing solutions, GateWay Hub and Multi-Hub, to further enhance the company's carrier-neutral interconnection services and reduce costs for international telecommunications carriers and service providers.
GateWay Hub addresses international carriers that need cost-effective conversion between international and North American private line technologies (e.g. E1/DS1 and SDH/SONET). GateWay Hub also helps carriers and service providers expand the reach of their networks by providing carrier-neutral interconnection at major telecom carrier hotels in New York City, Los Angeles, Dallas, Washington, DC, and Miami. It allows carriers to hand-off traffic at E1 through STM-16 speeds for conversion to DS0 through OC48 speeds for termination throughout the United States. It also supports the delivery of E1 through STM-16 circuits to end-user customer locations throughout the U.S.
Multi-Hub, which can be used separately or in conjunction with GateWay Hub, is a carrier-neutral Private Line aggregation and grooming solution that provides customers with dedicated, high-speed facilities for metro access or long-haul applications. Multi-Hub is available throughout the United States. It enables domestic and international carriers and service providers to aggregate traffic at a single location and to utilize a single point of contact for access to multiple carriers to interconnect and extend their networks throughout the U.S. Customers benefit because the new hubbing service requires only a single connection arranged through GII rather than incurring costs for arranging multiple interconnections with multiple carriers. Once Multi-Hub service is established, a GII customer can quickly add capacity on an as needed, pay-as-you-go basis.
Both services enable carriers and service providers to deliver broadband data transport services for their customers more cost-effectively and with greater vendor diversity managed through GII. The services also improve the provisioning time from receipt of order to turn-up because GII's management of hubbing facilities can eliminate the inconvenience associated with ordering individual cross-connect circuits through multiple vendors.
"Introducing GateWay Hub and Multi-Hub was a natural extension of our existing portfolio of wholesale dedicated transport services. We have already won contracts with a number of international carriers and service providers for these solutions," said Todd Vecchio, Global Internetworking's president. "We think they will be of particular interest to carriers and service providers at GTM that are looking for maximum flexibility and vendor diversity while reducing the costs of entering new U.S. markets."
Unlike some services offered by facilities-based vendors, GateWay Hub and Multi-Hub build upon GII's ability to access hundreds of local and long-haul networks, based on a customer's requirements for budget, performance, and vendor diversity. GateWay Hub and Multi-Hub leverage GII's proprietary CMD Operations Support System and proprietary Pop2Pop.Com network database, both of which enable GII to analyze network infrastructure and pricing quickly to identify an optimal solution. This means GII experts can create customized solutions that provide customers with the network and vendor diversity they require, as well as the most appropriate combination of long-haul and local access to manage costs and provision services in a timely manner.

INDOSAT TO ESTABLISH NETWORK OPERATIONS AT EQUINIX SINGAPORE DATA CENTER
Indonesia's Leading Telecommunications Provider to Improve Connectivity and Lower Costs through Deployment at Equinix Internet Hub
Singapore May 18, 2005 Equinix, Inc. (Nasdaq: EQIX), the leading provider of network-neutral data centres and Internet exchange services, today announced that PT Indosat Tbk, one of the leading telecommunications providers in Indonesia, has deployed a network Point-of-Presence (POP) within Equinix's Singapore Internet Business Exchange (IBX®) centre. By hosting its infrastructure at Equinix's Internet hub, Indosat plans to enhance service to existing customers by streamlining operations and directly connecting with the aggregation of networks operating within Equinix's Internet hub.
Equinix's network-neutral business model provides a strong platform to serve Indosat's need to directly interconnect to multiple global network service providers. The close proximity to key networking partners within the same physical location, as opposed to connecting to them in multiple, disparate locations and across great distances, will enable Indosat to streamline its network connectivity and greatly reduce intermediate transit. As a result of the deployment, Indosat is also better positioned to increase business opportunities.
"As the leading telecommunications provider in Indonesia, we have set a high standard for the service quality that our customers receive," said Mr. Samsriyono Nugroho, General Manager, Carrier Relations of Indosat. "We are continuously improving that service through carefully planned moves and strategic partnerships. Equinix fits into our business model with its industry leading data center infrastructure and unique network-neutral model."
"The addition of Indosat to the aggregation of networks operating in Equinix's Singapore hub contributes to the growth of our regional carrier community and enables other Equinix customers to leverage direct access to another leading regional network," said Mr. Lee Yoong Kin, Managing Director of Equinix Singapore. "In addition to Equinix's colocation and Internet exchange services, we have recently launched other managed services offerings aimed at helping our customers in the Asia-Pacific region to maximize their IT operations."

DIGITAL REALTY TRUST, INC. TO HOUSE DALLAS' FIRST NO-COST, NEUTRAL PEERING EXCHANGE
Peering Exchange Operated by Speakeasy Supports Direct Interconnections Between Network Providers, Supporting the Technical and Business Needs of Tenants at 2323 Bryan Street
Menlo Park, Calif. (May 2, 2005) - Digital Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE: DLR), an owner and manager of technology-related properties, today announced that its Dallas Internet Gateway will house the first no-cost, neutral Internet peering exchange in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The Dallas/Fort Worth Internet Exchange (DFWIX) will be operated by Speakeasy (www.speakeasy.net ), the nation's largest independent broadband services provider, and it will be located in the Meet-Me Room of the Digital Realty Internet Gateway at 2323 Bryan Street (the Univision Tower) in Dallas.
Internet Peering Exchanges allow network providers to create direct interconnections between their networks in order to achieve the most efficient and cost-effective means of exchanging data that is destined for each network. This allows network providers to avoid the costs and delays incurred from the "multiple hops" involved in exchanging data through third-party providers that facilitate the data transfer. There will be no port charges for connectivity to the DFWIX, and with the Digital Realty Meet-Me-Room policy of no cross-connection fees participants are able to achieve peering arrangements in the most cost-effective manner.
"Digital Realty is proud that our Meet Me Room has been selected to house Dallas' first no-cost peering exchange, which will be a tremendous new amenity for tenants in our Dallas Internet Gateway," said Michael F. Foust, Chief Executive Officer of Digital Realty Trust. "This peering exchange affirms the status of 2323 Bryan Street as the pre-eminent Internet Gateway in the southwestern United States, and the exchange also offers a compelling value proposition for prospective tenants in the building."
"Speakeasy is excited to support IP Peering at 2323 Bryan by operating Dallas' first no-cost Internet exchange," said Michael Mings, Managing Director of Speakeasy's colocation and managed services component. "Speakeasy believes in peering and how settlement-free connections can further improve the interconnectivity of the Internet. Because our all-fiber private national backbone relies on peering to improve performance, the peering exchange is a strategy to increase performance further. As a result, Speakeasy is committed to operating the DFWIX in a truly neutral manner, adhering to the spirit of a free peering exchange and providing maximum benefit to those who participate in the exchange."
