Equinix, Inc. and AWS Convergence Technologies, Inc. today announced that AWS has selected Equinix's Washington, D.C. area Internet Business Exchange center as the new location for the company's information technology and Internet operations infrastructure. AWS will utilize Equinix's premium, secure and high-availability data center environment, the abundance of network service providers in the center, and Equinix's exchange services to enhance the performance and reduce the operating costs of the company's content and IT infrastructure.
